What can I expect from therapy?Therapy provides a confidential space to explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It's a collaborative process where we work together to address challenges, set goals, and foster personal growth. This looks different for each person, but the most important part is the journey is defined by you!
-
How long is a typical therapy session?Sessions are 50 minutes long. The frequency of sessions can be weekly or as agreed upon based on your needs and goals.
-
Is therapy confidential?Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy! However, there are legal and ethical exceptions, such as the potential harm to yourself or others, which will be discussed in our initial sessions.
-
Do you take insurance?I am currently in network with Aetna, Blue Shield of CA, BCBS, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, and United Healthcare through Headway.
-
How do I book a session with you?I like to meet with each client before beginning regular sessions to ensure that we are a good fit. You can schedule your free 15 minute consultation here.
-
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
-
What types of issues do you specialize in?I have experience working with trauma, grief/loss, and sex/relationships. However, I welcome clients dealing with a variety of concerns. You can always reach out to discuss what you are looking for and if I'm able to help :)
-
Do you work with couples or families, or do you only see individuals?I specialize in individual therapy. My approach is tailored to address the unique needs and experiences of each person. If you're seeking couple or family support, I am happy to provide referrals.

How long will I need to be in therapy? The duration varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients find resolution in a few months, while others prefer longer-term support. We will regularly assess progress and discuss your evolving needs.
